Text Message Terms

What this is
Our share-the-guide form sends a one-time text message to a phone number that you provide as the sender, on behalf of yourself, after you confirm that the person you are texting has agreed to receive it from you. This is a person-to-person share, not a marketing list.
One message
For each share you submit, exactly one text message will be sent to the recipient's phone. The message identifies you as the sender, names the Burbank Republican Party, includes a link to our voter guide, and explains how to opt out.
How to opt out
The recipient may reply Stop to the text at any time to opt out. Once we receive a Stop, we add the number to our do-not-text list. From that point on, no one using our share form can text that number again.
How to get help
The recipient may reply Help to receive instructions and a contact for support.
Rates
Standard message and data rates may apply. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Your responsibility as the sender
By using our share form you confirm:
- You have the recipient's permission to text them this voter guide.
- The number you provided is your own and is a current US mobile number.
- The recipient's number is theirs and is a current US mobile number.
- You will not use this form to send unwanted, harassing, or commercial text messages.
Misuse
We rate-limit submissions and maintain logs. We block numbers and IP addresses that are used to send unwanted messages, and may share that information with carriers and law enforcement where appropriate.
